STATE STANDARDS CCS exceeds the academic requirements mandated by the State Board of Education and is chartered by the State of Ohio. Our students take a standardized test to ensure we are achieving at our highest level, not only locally, but on a national level. We are scoring well above the national averages.

FACULTY All members of the faculty are dedicated Christians holding valid teaching licenses to teach in the State of Ohio. Teaching staff of Cypress Christian School are in compliance with the Ohio Department of Education by having current FBI and BCI background checks on file. Non-teaching staff background checks are performed by our HR Coordinator upon hiring and then are required by the Ohio Department of Education to be updated every 5 years thereafter. Volunteer background checks are performed annually through a ministry service.

CURRICULUM Our curriculum is based on the classical model and is designed to give students a solid foundation for a quality Christian liberal arts education. The curriculum includes all the basic academic subjects and the following enrichment classes: art, library, music, band, choir, computer technology, and physical education.

CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY Our goal is to enable students to succeed in a technology driven world. In conjunction with the introduction of 1:1 iPads in our middle school, we are introducing online textbooks to ensure our students are learning with the most updated resources. Parents will be able to more easily participate in homework and the learning process.

HIGH SCHOOL PREP Middle school students can earn up to two high school credits and many have gone on to top high schools in the area and excelled in both academics and athletics.

TUTORIAL / ENRICHMENT CCS is committed to assisting students who need remediation or acceleration in reading and math. Qualified teachers are available to implement these programs.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES Students in grades K-8 have a weekly chapel with special guest speakers from all over central Ohio and beyond. Students may also participate in A.C.S.I. activities such as speech meet, Math by Mail competition, spelling bee, and creative writing.

Middle school athletic teams include basketball, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, track and cross country.
