Curriculum

Cypress Christian Preschool is located at the Cypress Church Alton Darby campus. We are privately owned and operated and licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

We have classes for children ages 3-5 years old (must be potty trained). Our degreed teaching staff teaches an in-depth, faith based kindergarten readiness curriculum that encourages learning and social development.

Kindergarten Readiness

Cypress Christian Preschool students are assessed three times during the school year. These assessments cover a wide range of skills and help us determine improvement areas for your child. Parent / Teacher Conferences are held in January and provide an opportunity for questions about each student's progress and kindergarten readiness.

Chapel

We want every child who attends Cypress Christian Preschool to gain knowledge of God through His Word and experience God's goodness through the world around them to discover God's purpose for their lives. Our students come together every other week for 15-20 minutes of chapel time. We sing songs of worship, focus on a Bible story, work on learning Bible verses and pray together.

Science

Each classroom will participate in science activities. We spend time learning about the amazing world that God created. The students get to participate in fun experiments and learn how science can be fun!

Music & Movement

Music & Movement is incorporated into our classrooms daily. Teachers use fun songs and movement activities to make connections to each lesson.

Lunch Bunch

Our Lunch Bunch program is an optional program offered as a one-hour extension of our regular classroom time. Students may sign up for lunch bunch once/month Students bring a packed lunch and get to participate in a special class. Class themes will include: music, art, sports, cooking, games and more.

Field Trips

Field trips are an exciting part of the year for our preschoolers! Each fall our preschool classes will take a field trip to an apple orchard. Parents/guardians are required to transport their student and remain with them for the duration of the trip.
