“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23
Thursday morning, students were recognized who demonstrate joy.

7th Grade Flex Class finished the quarter by visiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital to donate the tie blankets and pillows they created. Former Cypress teacher, Meredith Shields, who now works at NCH, gave us a tour of the first floor and introduced us to one of the hospital's therapy dogs, Ollie. In the words of the students, "It gave us a new perspective on how people can make dark times bright." They enjoyed teaching each other from their own experiences and then used those skills to bless others.

Thank you everyone for signing up to donate to fall fest! The Zhuchenya family was drawn for the 50 pack of fall fest tickets and the McCormick and Shannon families for the 25 packs. Those can be picked up at "will call". Hope to see you tonight!

Check out some of the amazing donations from our Cypress families and local businesses including a pair of Bengals vs. Steelers NFL tickets! Join us this Friday at Fall Fest!

Reminder - No School next Monday & Tuesday!

This morning, our Head of School, Mr. Jameson spoke at K-5 Chapel about having joy in the face of trials.

Miss Brittany from Cypress Students spoke at Middle School chapel yesterday morning about asking for forgiveness. She referred to the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19, and the huge transformation he underwent once he repented from his sins and turned toward Jesus. Students were challenged to think of someone they may need to apologize to, but not to stop there. It's the heart attitude that counts. Zacchaeus not only repented but paid back four times the amount he had cheated people out of. Zacchaeus got it!
